Seeking a Renaissance in San Francisco

Paris in a Box

Of late, my friends’ birthdays have been a great time for me to experiment with different ideas and projects.  One of my best friends, Sameera, had hers just a few days ago.  She was hoping to have studied abroad in Paris last semester, but it didn’t quite work out.  So when I was trying to cook up a gift for her, I thought – why not bring Paris to her!  Inspired by the concept of ‘Paris in a Box’ by You Are My Fave, I set out to create my own version.

Here is a photo of the final product!

I ended up including:

  • Birthday Card
  • Homemade Eiffel Tower Pinata filled with French Cocoa Truffles (for a Pinata Tutorial, visit: DIY Pinata)
  • Pain et Fromage
  • Macarons de Paris (from Fillmore Bakeshop)
  • 2013 Paris Calendar
  • Handlebar mustache for being french and fabulous 😉
  • And a Party Horn & Balloon for an extra festive flair!

I wrapped the package in brown paper and tied it up with string 🙂  and included some stickers and stamps for extra decoration.  Here are some more photos of the project!
