Seeking a Renaissance in San Francisco

200 Yards

I recently learned that one of my favorite photographers, Julie Michelle, was being featured in the photography exhibit, 200 Yards, so I figured I’d go check it out.  When I went to the show at Café Royale, I was pleasantly surprised with the interesting concept of the exhibit.  Initially an experiment started by Lightbox SF, 200 Yards allows for photographers to really explore every inch of the city of San Francisco.  The 200 Yards team decides on a location for the exhibit, then asks photographers to send in images from anywhere within a 200 yard radius of the venue!  Anything or anyone within that area can be the subject of a photograph.

The Café Royale exhibit showcased photos within a 200 yard radius of Post and Leavenworth Streets in Lower Nob Hill.  Below are some photos from the exhibit!  The next exhibit will be on November 17th at La Boutique (located at: 414 Jackson St @ Sansome).  You can see more shots from the August exhibit here: Café Royale.
