Born This Way: A photo blog

Jorge, age 3 - Tamaulipas, Mexico 1985

Born This Way,” a blog created just a few weeks ago, has already garnered almost 700,000 hits! Paul V., the creator, established the blog as a space for gay men and women to post photos and essays of their stories.  Contributors post a photo from their childhood, along with a short account of their experiences with coming out.  The essays are humorous, poignant, down to earth, and fabulous.

The stories show the childhood innocence of growing up different, to the struggles people had to overcome to be accepted in modern society. Visit the site and show your support! Here are a few photos from the blog – click on the names for the essay tagged to each photo.  (You can read Jorge’s story from the photo above, here: Jorge)
