Seeking a Renaissance in San Francisco
The Morrison Hotel Gallery is a fine art music photography gallery in New York City (located at Bowery & Bleeker). The gallery recently opened a new photography exhibit, ‘Timeless,’ by Julian Lennon on September 17. Julian (yes, John Lennon’s son), has toured the world as a musician for several decades and is now trying his hand as a photographer. The exhibit opened to rave reviews on Sept. 17 and was set to close on Oct. 7. Given the interest and viewership that the exhibit has garnered, the gallery has extended the closing date to October 17! So all you New Yorkers out there, be sure to check out Julian Lennon’s first ever attempt at photography! For his show, he has put together a sampling of landscape photographs as well as shots of his half-brother, Sean Lennon’s, concerts. Though I enjoyed his landscapes, I think what struck me the most were his photos of Sean. Julian’s perspective and angles portray Sean as a replica of their father, John Lennon. In some shots, they look chillingly similar, in others, completely different.
Below are some shots that I particularly liked, along with snaps from the gallery opening on Sept. 16. To view the rest of the ‘Timeless’ photographs visit this link: Timeless Gallery.
